Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier has proved he's one of the nicest men in football by turning up at a school prom to help a boy beat school bullies.

Le Tissier is now one of Sky Sports' main pundits, and is a constant on the corporation's weekly Soccer Saturday programme, but he also coaches at his own goalkeeping academy.
And when young goalkeeper Ben Shaw, 11, boasted to his mates that he was coached by the former England international, he was teased by classmates and no one believed him.

According to The Mirror, when Le Tissier heard about Ben's trouble, the retired striker - nicknamed Le God by Saints fans - went out of his way to drive to the event at Oakwood Primary School.

Ben said: "I was really excited and surprised, it was really good and all my friends were really impressed."

He may have made over 540 appearances for Southampton in a 16-year career, as well winning eight caps for England, but it appears Le Tiss still prioritises the fans.

Well played, Matt. Well played.
