He dueled with the opening scorer Suarez for the ball. But the Spanish defender committed a foul after slapping the striker across the face.

Obviously, Real Madrid fans defended his actions while Barcelona supporters were furious with the outcome.
As a result of the 3-0 win, Barcelona recorded their 14th La Liga victory, moving nine points clear of nearest rivals, Atletico Madrid.
