Sergio Ramos responds after video emerges of him refusing to sign a Real Madrid shirt

Sergio Ramos is seen declining to sign a Real Madrid shirt.

Sergio Ramos has hit out after he received backlash for refusing to sign a Real Madrid shirt.

Ramos has come under fire from some fans after a damning video emerged online of him turning down the opportunity to sign a Real shirt.

The 37-year-old, who enjoyed 16 prolific, trophy laden seasons at Real, is videoed signing Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain jerseys.

But he decides against signing a Real shirt, angering their fanbase on social media.

A clip of Ramos refusing to sign a Real shirt emerged on X, accompanied with the caption: "Can someone explain to me why Sergio Ramos refuses to sign the Real Madrid shirt?"

But the legendary defender has defended his actions, claiming he had signed 'about six Real shirts' beforehand while giving a reason as to why he snubbed the shirt in the clip.

On X, he wrote: "Before that moment I had already signed about 6 @realmadrid shirts.

"And then there are people who auction them or sell them on the Internet..."

The Spaniard joined Real in 2005 and made 671 appearances for the club, scoring an impressive 101 goals.

He upset Real supporters online with his actions despite helping them win five La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies during his spell.

Ramos returned to Sevilla last summer as he turned down big-money moves to the Premier League and Saudi Arabia.
