Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka is set become the first 'gold' player in FIFA history to have all 80+ stats on his base card - and fans are calling it a must-have purchase.

The Germany international, who recently committed his long-term future to the Bundesliga champions after interest from Manchester United this summer, impressed throughout the 2020/21 campaign, scoring 11 goals in 42 appearances for club and country.

He has, therefore, been rewarded with a +3 upgrade by EA Sports, according to a leak.

If the rumours are indeed true, Goretzka's card features some seriously impressive stats such as 86 physical, 83 dribbling and 81 pace, not to mention 82 passing and 82 shooting. The best midfield base card in FIFA history? It's definitely up there.

Amid talks from the community that Goreztka will receive all 80+ stats on his base card in FIFA 22, fans are speculating about how much the Bayern player will go for on the FUT market.

Some users on Reddit believe he will sell for between 350-400k coins when the game is first released.

One fan said: "He'll be insanely desirable if there's a workable hybrid with the other top-end cards," while another commented: "Very deserved in my opinion, his shooting should be level or lower than his defending though."
