Training ground footage from Thomas Tuchel's time at Bundesliga side Mainz 05 will give Chelsea supporters an insight into what the German coach will be like on a day-to-day basis at Cobham.

The 47-year-old is expected to be announced as the new manager of Chelsea after the club decided to sack Frank Lampard from his role as first team coach on Monday after 18 months seasons in charge.

Tuchel, who won back-to-back Ligue 1 titles with Paris Saint-Germain, quickly became favourite for the job as soon as news that Lampard would be sacked broke.

The likes of Max Allegri and Julian Nagelsmann were also touted for the role, but it looks likely that the former Borussia Dortmund coach will sit in the dugout for Chelsea's clash against Wolves on Wednesday night.

Many on social media initially had their doubts as to whether Tuchel was the right man to take the Premier League side forward. In fact, Harry Redknapp questioned his credentials in a scathing assessment this week.

'Who says he's a great manager? Winning titles at PSG in France doesn't make you a great manager." Redknapp said.

"What does that prove? 'You're quite entitled to win the league in France when you're managing PSG. Only time will tell how good he is."

But despite plenty having a negative opinion on the appointment, we know that Tuchel's arrival will certainly fire things up in training.

This footage from his time in Germany, specifically with FSV Mainz 05 - a club he managed between 2009 and 2014 - suggests Chelsea players will see a more animated figure behind the scenes compared to his usually calm nature during games.

In the below YouTube clip, a livid Tuchel can be seen ripping into his team during a keep-ball session in training.

This isn't the only time Tuchel showcased his fiery side in training. Ahead of Mainz's clash against HSV in the Europa League, the German manager can se seen implementing his high standards in a session as he shouts at striker Shawn Parker.

Thoughts on Tuchel's incoming appointment at Chelsea? Is he right man to take the club forward?
