Sergio Ramos Responds After Losing His Rag With Real Madrid Youngster In Training
Sergio Ramos has apologised after taking out his frustrations on Real Madrid youth player Sergio Reguilon in a training session on Monday morning.
Shocking footage shows Ramos booting the ball at the 21-year-old left-back not once but twice as teammate Luka Modric later approaches Madrid's long serving captain. The 32-year-old proceeded to wag his finger toward the youngster while nursing his presumably sore nose.
Many described the moment as 'disgusting' and 'disappointing - a sign that frustrations are growing amongst the Los Blancos group after a poor start to the season?
The Los Blancos captain has now responded to the incident on Twitter, saying his reaction was inexcusable:
"Although it may not seem like it, they are quite common situations, but it is not an excuse, my reaction should not have been that.
"We always go full, right, Regui? In the end team victory together."
Aunque no os lo parezca, son situaciones bastante habituales, pero no es excusa, mi reacción no debió ser esa.
Nosotros siempre vamos a full, ¿verdad, Regui? ¡¡Al final victoria del equipo juntos @sergio_regui!! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Reguilon" has also issued a response, backing up his teammate:
"Always with my team and with my captain, for victory tomorrow."

Real Madrid fans are furious with their team's start to the season after Los Blancos suffered a shock defeat to Levante.at the weekend, and this incident doesn't exactly improve things.
It caused plenty of reaction on social media, with Ramos' actions being blasted by many.
Disgusting from Sergio Ramos. Full apology needed as there is absolutely no getting away from it at all. It's remarkable a captain of a club can behave like this. https://t.co/S4tpnk9jdm

Sergio Ramos taking out his frustrations on academy star Reguilon in training today. Not the behaviour you'd expect to see from your captain and least of all towards a youngster. https://t.co/cH23u5Oynt

Wow, that's really bad from Ramos. He's the captain of the team and he smashed a football at 21-year-old Sergio Reguilón not once, but twice. Real Madrid have issues deeper than Lopetegui. https://t.co/tcDFxWEank

Thoughts on the above incident? Has it been blown out of proportion?
