Harry Maguire has been lauded by Red Devils fans as a compilation has highlighted what he is capable of in a Manchester United shirt.

The Red Devils resumed their Premier League campaign on Sunday as they hosted West Ham at Old Trafford.

United managed to break the deadlock early in the second half after the Hammers' Craig Dawson turned a Bruno Fernandes corner into his own net.

Maguire, 28, has often been criticised since his £80m arrival from Leicester City in 2019.

However, one fan has produced a compilation to highlight the United skipper's stunning performance against West Ham.

And fans have praised Maguire for putting in a strong shift, with one supporter claiming United's defence could be 'unstoppable' if they sign a new defender to partner alongside him.

"I don't really care about the transfer fee or what idiotic attention seekers say - Harry Maguire is one of the best CBs in the Premier League," one fan posted.

A second tweeted: "If we get a good CB in the summer and keep playing Hendo in goal, our defence will be unstoppable."

Someone else wrote: "The definition of a 'captain's performance.'"

While a fourth added: "He's now looking like an £80 million defender."

And a fifth simply said: "This is what we want from you, Maguire."

Maguire was spotted by fans screaming at Aaron Wan-Bissaka after he made a number of mistakes against West Ham.

The former Leicester star could be heard yelling at his United teammate, "F*****g tidy up, stop giving the f*****g ball away."

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer defended Maguire's actions after the 1-0 win, saying that the players "needed it."

The 48-year-old Norwegian told BBC Radio 5 Live: "They all needed it. Either digging out or calming down. Maybe it was more calming down because I know the attitude was there.

"We wanted so much to recover from what happened on Thursday night, with the last-minute equaliser from Milan, and the attitude was spot on -- just calm down and trust yourselves.

"Dean Henderson did not have a save to make and I guess that is a good sign."
