Fernandes, meanwhile, has currently made 25 appearances and scored 15 times and picked up 10 assists.
While the United star hasn't matched or broken Lampard's record, it hasn't stopped United fans from bragging about Fernandes' midfield influence.
In fact, Red Devils supporters have taken to social media to argue that Fernandes is a better 'goalscoring midfielder than Lampard ever was.'
Lampard, who is Chelsea's record all-time scorer, had a legendary playing career and is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in history alongside Steven Gerrard and Paul Scholes.
