Manchester United 'limbs' mocked for Bruno Fernandes goal against Chelsea

Manchester United fans are the latest to be mocked by the celebration police following Bruno Fernandes' goal against Chelsea.

United knew a point against Chelsea on Thursday would guarantee their place in next season's Champions League, which would have been their goal before the campaign started.

It hasn't always been easy for Erik ten Hag's side who have had to endure being bottom of the league after two games and suffered embarrassing defeats to Manchester City and Liverpool along the way.

They'll have been very relieved to have gone up against Frank Lampard's struggling Blues side needing only only a draw, and Casemiro led them to a two goal start at half time.

Lampard clearly didn't believe that his side deserved to go into the break two goals behind and the visitors certainly weren't helped by Mykhailo Mudryk's miss.

But if the Blues' boss thought that things were going to get better for his team in the second half and they were going to be the first away team to come from behind at half time to win at Old Trafford in Premier League history then he was very much mistaken.

Chelsea's defending only got worse as the game on and they needed Kepa Arrizabalaga to save them from an absolute battering.

Fernandes was given the chance to make it 3-0 when he was brought down by Wesley Fofana in the box, with the Portugal star calmly dispatching his penalty. However some weren't impressed with the reaction of United fans.

The criticism came from a Manchester City fan, who are normally on the receiving end of the same sort of treatment and others were ready to jump in.

"Tourists everywhere, no soul club," said one fan.

"The very same reason they tease City with no atmosphere now here too. Same thing happens other places as well," added a second.

Another supporter laughed, "The atmosphere is on mute, on a game that really matters."

"Where is the rage here, where are the banters?? or it is only against City?", questioned a City fan in a sea of rage and banter.

"Calm down lads don't want anyone to get hurt," replied a fifth with a decent hint of sarcasm.

United fans tried in vain to argue that it was merely the third goal and they were 2-0 up and on easy street already, but City fans pointed out that it's similar circumstances when they are criticised.

The video was taken from Old Trafford's South Stand which was dubbed to be the 'Prawn sandwich brigade' by Roy Keane many years ago.

Fernandes himself had a pretty nonchalant reaction to his goal merely walking towards the fans before being joined by his teammates to celebrate.

Marcus Rashford later added a fourth for United before Joao Felix scored a consolation for Chelsea.
