The 32-year-old was handed a start in midfield and immediately got into the thick of the action.
In the first half, he dueled with Dele Alli who barged him off the ball with Sissoko leaving the field of the play, before smashing the ball at Nuno at point blank range.
Sissoko quickly apologised with Nuno unhurt despite being struck with the ball from just a few yards out.
Considering the player's transfer away from Spurs, some people online reckon he did it on purpose to get back at the Portuguese boss.
Nuno had the last laugh as his side beat Watford 1-0 thanks to a second half goal from Son Heung-min.
