He's been refreshingly honest...

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has revealed that he was no intention to join Real Madrid at any point in the future.

The Gabon international has long been linked with a move to Los Blancos, and the player himself has regularly spoken about his desire of plying his trade at the Bernabeu.

But in a remarkably honest interview with RMC, via Goal, Aubameyang has changed his tune though, saying although he views not getting a move to Real as a disappointment, he is happy at Dortmund and has no intention to turn out for the 12-time European Cup winners.

"I have no dream," he said.

"I shall no longer speak of Madrid. They don't want me.

"This is not a problem. I move forward, I am well in Dortmund.

"We had an agreement with Borussia that I could leave. It didn't happen. It is a disappointment. But I'm also happy to stay."

More recently, Aubameyang was linked with a whole host of other leading European clubs - with AC Milan desperate to sign him in what was a huge summer overhaul for the Rossoneri.

The 28-year old was tempted by what his former employers Milan had to offer but a move never materalised and he remained at Dortmund.

"Milan offered me something," he added.

"I was very interested by the project, [but] it did not happen for many reasons."

Continuing his revelations, Aubameyang also admitted that a move to PSG was a possibility. He met with president Nasser Al-Khelaifi in June to discuss a potential transfer but when they brought in Antero Henrique as sporting director, their interest died down and they pursued other targets - Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

"At the beginning of June I met Nasser. It was before Antero Henrique's arrival. And when Henrique came to PSG, they decided that they wouldn't take me."

The final comment on another failed move from the former Saint-Etienne striker was in relation to the interest from the Chinese Super League - something that looked increasingly likely in June when reports gathered pace.

Aubameyang, however, says he didn't consider the offer on the table.

"China, I didn't take it seriously, it was a lack of professionalism. They delayed to send us a written offer - it was a disaster."

This term, Aubameyang has continued where he left off last season, where he pipped Bayern's Robert Lewandowski to the Bundesliga top scorer award, scoring nine goals in eight appearances in all competitions.
