Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has responded after getting some serious flak for his lockdown haircut.

The Gabon international returned to training with the Gunners on Friday but his haircut looked almost recognisable.

Aubameyang is normally seen sporting a fresh afro box cut but with no way of getting a trim in lockdown - and the former Dortmund man clearly refraining from a DIY haircut - his hair looked a little out of control and many poked fun after what had happened to his locks in quarantine.

But the man himself was also able to see the funny side. He reacted to @433 sharing a picture of his overgrown trim in Arsenal training and replied saying: "No Trimm Zone".

He also took to Instagram to take the p*ss out of himself further, writing: "Who said I need a barber?" with a slew of laughing emojis.

Aubameyang can take some pride in knowing that he isn't the only footballer with a bad trim at the moment. Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino both had very different styles in Liverpool training and looked like they desperately needed a chop.

Even weirder, however, was seeing both Ashley Young and N'Golo Kante, two men who we all thought were bald, with full heads of hair.

Being honest, fans are still processing their current trims and we're not sure we'll ever get used to it.
