Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reacted to his suspension by Borussia Dortmund and the Gabonese striker is far from happy with his employers.

It was reported on Thursday evening that Dortmund had suspended the striker ahead of tonight's clash against Stuttgart.

In an official Twitter post, the Bundesliga side confirmed that Aubameyang will not play because of 'disciplinary reasons', replying to a fan who asked about the availability of the Gabon international.

"Aubameyang has been removed from the squad for tomorrow's match for disciplinary reasons." Dortmund's tweet read.

It was rather strange because just hours before the above tweet, Dortmund had included him in a predicted starting XI ahead of tomorrow's clash against Stuttgart.

According to Dortmund reporter Sebastian Weßling, Aubameyang has been suspended because he "allowed himself numerous lapses of discipline, arrives late for training constantly and considers himself untouchable."

Now, more information has emerged following his suspension and it doesn't look good for the 28-year-old.

It has emerged that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was left out of Borussia Dortmund's squad to face Stuttgart because he went to Barcelona nightclub during visit to see former team-mate Ousmane Dembele, according to BILD via The Daily Mail.

But the Gabon international doesn't believe he's done anything wrong and cannot understand why he's been suspended for tonight's Bundesliga clash with Stuttgart. He's also denied turning up late to training.

"I didn't turn up late for training," he told Bild . "After my trip to Milan I could understand my suspension because I ignored an announcement that time.

"This time I really can't understand it."

With Aubameyang's future at Signal Iduna Park under constant speculation, with the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City credited with an interest in the striker over the past year, this latest disciplinary action could further the 28-year-old's desire to leave the Bundesliga club, having attempted to do so over the summer, but failing to do so when the only club to meet his financial demands came from the Chinese Super League.
