Napoli have taken the plunge and become the first football club to partner with dating app Tinder, and have set up one of their star players on the service.

Yes you are reading that correctly, supporters of the Serie A giants really will get the opportunity to go on a night out with striker Arkadiusz Milik, who joined the club for around £30 million last summer.

They even produced this promotional video, where Milik offers his dating services:

Milik was on the treatment table for a while after suffering what appeared to be a season-ending knee injury, though he has been back in action and making several cameos from the substitutes bench.

And fans will be able to send him messages on Tinder, with the 23-year-old forward then choosing his four favourites to meet in person.

According to The Independent, Tinder's vice president of partnerships David Wyler said: "Tinder is first and foremost a platform for meeting new people. We look forward to connecting fans with their favourite player."

The news prompted a number of brilliant reactions on social media:

Milik has managed just eight goals in his debut campaign in Naples, since effectively replacing Gonzalo Higuain, although he'll be hoping to score a little bit more on Tinder.

You never know, you might find Milik on Tinder if you swipe right.
