Luis Suarez was reduced to tears on the bench after sustaining an injury in the opening stages of Atletico Madrid's hugely important Champions League clash against Porto.
Suarez lasted just 13 minutes after picking up a knock in his side's crunch European fixture on Tuesday.
Diego Simeone started the Uruguayan up front as they look to secure passage to the next round of the competition.
Though he failed to make impact before being replaced by Cunha.
The ex-Liverpool man couldn't hide his emotions as he broke down in tears on the bench.
He's now a potential doubt for their next La Liga game on Sunday against cross-town rivals Real Madrid.
Naturally, the 34-year-old's emotional reaction got fans talking online.
One tweeted: "Luis Suárez was crying after being substituted due to injury. Just 1 season and he has become so much attached to the club."
A second wrote: "Suarez off and he's crying? Bloody hell, hope the injury's nothing serious."
A third added: "Luis Suarez has been taken off in the other match, Atletico is really going out."
