The Premier League has had the pleasure of playing host to many wonderfully gifted Spanish footballers.

But the SPORTbible audience have voted Manchester City's David Silva as the greatest.

Silva, who has won four Premier League titles since moving to England in 2010, took a whopping 43 per cent of the votes thanks to his dazzling displays down the years.

A £24 million signing from Valencia, the playmaker took a while to really get going in the Premier League but Silva has gone onto win two FA Cups and four League Cups during his time with City.

In fact, he is talked about as one of the very best to grace the division.

The 33-year old also earned huge plaudits last season for his ability to play at such a high level when his son Mateo was born prematurely and fighting for his life.

He regularly went back and forth from Manchester to be with his family in Spain but was able to score 10 goals and contribute 13 assists in all competitions in what may have been his best season for the club.

Cesc Fabregas came joint-second in the poll alongside Fernando Torres and David- with all three garnering 19 per cent of more than 25,000 votes that came in.

This season, even with his hair growing back, Silva has continued to excel under Pep Guardiola.

Are Silva's talents appreciated enough?
