Jesse Lingard is enjoying a brilliant World Cup and his passing accuracy statistic perfectly proves that sentiment.

The Manchester United star performed brilliantly leading up to the World Cup, with Gareth Southgate eventually operating the 25-year-old in England's midfield alongside Dele Alli.

And he's starred in the middle of the park, pulling the strings which includes 90+% passing accuracy in each of his outings for England in Russia.

In England's opening game of their World Cup campaign against Tunisia, he recorded a brilliant 96.4% passing accuracy. He followed that by recording a 93.9% pass accuracy versus Panama.

He also bagged a sublime goal from outside the box.

His momentum carried him into the knockout round with Lingard racking up a passing accuracy of 90.9% in the last 16 tie opposite Colombia.

And he remained in brilliant form against Sweden, recording a 93.5% pass accuracy.

Lingard is truly flourishing under Gareth Southgate's system, becoming a vital clog in England's proverbial midfield wheel.

"It feels like a new revolution," Lingard said about Southgate's reign.

He added: "The manager has a great idea of how he wants us to play. The formation suits us perfectly and it's a youthful squad but we've still got those experienced players in there and the team spirit is amazing at the moment. Everyone has come together and is really bonding.

"We're excited, we're enjoying the World Cup and we have just got to keep going now."

Here's hoping 'JLingz' continues his heroics in the semi-final and beyond.

Bring it home, Jesse LAD.
