Gerard Pique Brutally Trolls Arturo Vidal After He Celebrates 12th League Title In 15 Years

Gerard Pique has trolled former teammate Arturo Vidal after he won yet another league title.

Inter's first Scudetto triumph in 11 years means the Chilean international has now won an incredible 21 trophies in a decorated career.

In the last ten seasons, Vidal has lifted a league title in every campaign bar two - the 2010/11 and 2019/20 seasons. In total, he's now collected a league winners medal in 12 out of the last 15 years.

The 33-year-old began his career in his native with Chile and won three titles with Colo-Colo before moving to Europe with Bayer Leverkusen in 2007.

He didn't win a trophy there but won four Serie A titles with Juventus and then three in a row at Bayern Munich.

Vidal was part of Barcelona's 2018/19 La Liga winning side and now has a fifth title in Italian football after playing 23 times for Antonio Conte's Inter.

Celebrating his latest victory, Vidal took to Instagram to share several graphics marking all the league titles he's lifted with multiple clubs.

Translated, Vidal wrote: "Many years, many colleagues, great clubs and many fans, grateful to each of those who have accompanied me in each achievement. And I know that there is still a lot of story to tell ... We are going for more."

The posts received a whole lot of comments congratulating him on a brilliant, trophy-laden career.

But Pique, his former colleague, decided to rinse him. The Spain defender wrote: "You play in a retirement league. When will you win a Champions [League]?".

As Pique has correctly pointed out, the coveted Champions League is the one prize that has evaded Vidal.

He came closest in 2015 when Juve got to the final, only to be beaten 3-1 by Barcelona, his future employers.
