EA Sports Respond To Fan Who Questioned If 'Scripting' Has Been Removed From FIFA 21

EA Sports insist that 'scripting' does not exist in FIFA games after a fan asked the company if they have removed 'scripting', 'handicap' and 'momentum' from their upcoming release.
If you haven't heard of the 'scripting' theory, then I'll try and elaborate.
There is a belief among FIFA fans that there is a hidden 'feature' that can help turn the tide of a one-sided match. This so called 'feature' manipulates the outcome of a game by tweaking certain areas, such as improving the AI, to swing the overall momentum.

Last year, SPORTbible even conducted a poll which revealed a staggering 80.2 per cent of gamers think the game is scripted.
Do you think FIFA 19 is scripted? :video_game:

It remains a huge talking point within the community but despite so many suggestions that 'scripting' is very much present in FIFA, EA Sports have strongly denied the theory.
In fact, they responded to Twitter user @Paquetesousa who called them out.
"Have you removed scripting, handicap and DDA from the game? If not, it will be 100% useless, again..." he wrote.

EA denied the suggestion completely with a thread of their own.
"As mentioned before, there is no 'scripting', 'handicap', 'momentum', and/or 'DDA' in the game." they said.
"We build a football simulation game by implementing the different concepts of football. These concepts include an error system and a physics system which bring variety and authenticity to the game.
When recreating the details of football, all real life outcomes are possible.
"Every year we are actively trying to reduce situations in the game that feel random and outside of the user control. And we continue to see progress in this area each year.
"From a gameplay design perspective, there is absolutely no need to implement systems to influence the outcome of the game artificially, since all the above mentioned already creates a football-like experience for our players.
"As explained in the past, the only time our game adjusts the difficulty of the CPU AI (offline only) is during the introductory boot-up match that tries to determine which offline difficulty level is best suited for you."

We'll try to summarize some details in this thread:

Back in June, A FIFA 20 player presented a compelling case that the so-called idea of 'scripting' exists and outlined several ways to effectively counteract it.
Reddit user seedsrevolution produced the lengthy post that explains why scripting is real and certain things that can help trigger it.
The Reddit post suggests that one of the ways that scripting can be triggered is through possession and the user explained how this is possible through 'kick-off goals.'
Seedsrevolution wrote: "For example, kick off goals happen often because the algorithm sees that the team with the ball has 100% possession and thus they get boosted, making every pass connect more easily, player positioning improved to godlike status, and shots more likely to score. I believe a similar formula takes effect in the 44th and 89th minutes through injury time."
The Reddit user went on to argue that there are ways for players to deal with scripting if they feel that they are being hit by it in a match.
