Kevin de Bruyne recorded his 12th, 13th and 14th assists of the season on Saturday afternoon, topping the charts when it comes to handing the likes of Sergio Aguero easy tap-ins from six yards.

Seriously though, the Belgian has been key in Manchester City's title run in recent months and his performance against Leicester City just typified how effective he has been in midfield. The man just oozes class.

Sergio Aguero approached the referee at the full-time whistle after his dominant performance and asked for the match ball after his impressive hat-trick. Fair enough, right?

Manchester City teammate Kevin de Bruyne wasn't having any of it and because he notched three assists during the game, he felt like he deserved it.

The 26-year-old snatched it from Aguero and the pair exchanged words before laughing it off.

Shortly after De Bruyne produced another masterclass in the centre, teammate Benjamin Mendy reacted with an epic post on Twitter.

Firstly, he played a classy ball to Raheem Sterling who opened the scoring for City and then the Belgium ace set-up not one but two of Sergio Aguero's goals, before the Argentine striker completed his hat-trick in stoppage time with a belter of a strike.

As we know, Aguero bagged a hat-trick and De Bruyne weighed in with a trio of assists, too.

And his performance has praised by Mendy who shared a Tweet in the shape of a hilarious GIF.

The injured full-back also reacted to Aguero's goal-scoring heroics in style:

Not to mention giving a shout out to City youngster Phil Foden who returned to action following injury

Will De Bruyne take home the Premier League Player of the Season award for his performances in recent months?
