Former Charlton Athletic midfielder Rurik Gislason was such a big hit at the 2018 World Cup that he received offers to buy his sperm.
Gislason was playing for Bundesliga side SV Sandhausen at the time and saw his Instagram followers increase from 30,000 to 300,000 after making a 30 minute cameo in the 1-1 draw with Argentina.
Iceland's first ever World Cup fixture saw goalkeeper Hannes Halldorsson save a penalty from Lionel Messi but it was Gislason who became the main talking point following the game.
Dubbed the 'sexiest player' who turned out at the tournament in Russia, there was lots of attention from females and Gislason has revealed how bizarre things got.
He told Visir portal: "After the game, I took the phone to see the messages, there were various requests, including whether I would like to donate sperm to that person."

Fast forward to the present and the midfielder has over 780,000 followers on Instagram - which is pretty incredible when Iceland's population is estimated to be 341,000.
The former Copenhagen and Nurnberg man retired from football aged 32 and now has his own gin business. He also has a fashion brand and looks set to venture into acting as his next step.

"There are some interesting projects in the future that I have decided to say yes to," Gislason said, as per Mundo Deportivo.
"It is a television program in Germany and I have decided to try to be in an Icelandic film."
