Getting back to his best

The days of Fernando Torres being revered as one of the world's finest centre forwards seem like a lifetime ago. However, after the Atletico Madrid man fired his team into the lead against Levante this afternoon, he equalled a record he's not managed since his Liverpool days.

Since making his ill fated £50m move to Chelsea in 2011, Torres has been a shadow of the predator who terrorised Premier League defences between 2007-2010. He dipped in and out of form for the Blues, facing endless ridicule for his barren runs in front of goal before being offloaded on loan to AC Milan and then back to his childhood club of Atleti, where he has once again begun to thrive.

El Nino's goal against Levante moved him up to 10 league goals for the season, which he last achieved in 09/10.

Has the former Liverpool man's return to form brought him back into contention for a starting berth at Euro 2016? Some fans believe it has:
