Is Cristiano Ronaldo missing Lionel Messi? Nope.

The ex-Real Madrid superstar ended his association with Spanish football in the summer by sealing a transfer to Juventus, thus wrapping up his fierce La Liga rivalry with Lionel Messi.

And he's not missing the Barcelona great at all.

Ronaldo was asked if he misses Messi: "No, maybe he misses me," he replied.

"I played in England, Spain, Italy, Portugal, in the national team, while he is still in Spain. Maybe he needs me more."

Ronaldo, though, respects his counterpart and even sent a invitation to join him in Italy one day.

"For me, life is a challenge, I like it and I like to make people happy," he added.

"I would like him to come to Italy one day. Like me, accept the challenge.

"However, if he is happy there, I respect him. He is a fantastic player, a good guy but I do not miss anything here. This is my new life and I'm happy."

Ronaldo and Messi produced heroics in Spain's top flight, resulting in several Ballon d'Or's.

But the pairs Ballon d'Or stranglehold was relieved after Ronaldo's former teammate Luka Modric was crowned the best player in Europe.

Meanwhile, the Portuguese international has continued his prolific form in front of goal this season, bagging an impressive 11 Serie A goals.
