The Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather saga took a dramatic turn yesterday following reports of the billion dollar super-fight being agreed, though it appears the bout is far from being finalised.
Both Mayweather and the UFC president Dana White issued separate statements putting the brakes on proceedings. White defiantly told TMZ; "There is no deal! Then reaffirming his position by saying "no deal" when asked again.

Despite claiming the fight was "very, very close" Mayweather took to social media to deny the reports from yesterday;
Followed by...
But the Irishman stoked their rivalry as he taunted the American boxer, saying; "I am in Las Vegas. Floyd has retired on my arrival."
Typically, it prompted a response from the supposed retired pound-for-pound king;
It appears the UFC lightweight king is not only in the States to iron out a contract but to also clear up his situation with the Nevada State Athletic Commission following his bottle-gate incident with Nate Diaz prior to UFC 202.

And that's just the first meeting with NSAC. He'll also stand in front of a panel as he applies for his boxing license to allow him to box in the state of Nevada, after receiving his license in California.
Once those are smoothed over, then the real talks between 'The Money Team' and UFC can begin! Interesting times ahead. Watch this space.
