Chelsea appear to be making the first strides in attempting to sign Spain striker Alvaro Morata.
Morata has only just re-joined Real Madrid from Juventus, with Los Blancos activating their right to buy him back. But it doesn't seem as though he will be at the Bernabeu for much longer - Real looking to make a considerable profit on the player.
There is strong interest from Antonio Conte and Chelsea - coincidentally, Conte's Italy side will come up against Morata's Spain in Euro's round of 16 clash at the Stade de France on Monday.

But Chelsea have already been monitoring Morata very closely. According to the Telegraph, Blues owner Roman Abramovich was in Bordeaux on Tuesday to see Spain's surprising defeat at the hands of Croatia, where Morata grabbed the opening goal.
As per Le 10 Sport, Chelsea are believed to have opened talks with the 23-year old, who saw his £23.6 million buy-back clause activated by Real Madrid. Despite inviting him back for pre-season, the Champions League winners would prefer to cash in and sell him on for a higher price.
The Stamford Bridge side have also been linked with former player Romelu Lukaku, but Morata is their top striker target. He won't come on the cheap though and will likely cost in excess of 50m.
