Arsenal Player Furious With Olivier Giroud Over Scorpion Kick Celebration

There wasn't long left.

Olivier Giroud managed to spark two debates with two scorpion kicks in the space of a week. To be honest if he does nothing else with the rest of his career that's still some achievement. One of his colleagues really wasn't impressed with his second one though.

Giroud sparked debate on New Year's Day when he scored a beautiful 'scorpion kick' against Crystal Palace. Twitter was ablaze with polls about whether or not the Frenchman's effort was better than Manchester United's Henrikh Mkhitaryan's a few days before.

For some of us just enjoying the two goals was enough but others wanted the debate. Just a few days later and Giroud's scorpion kicks were at the centre of attention again but this time as a celebration for his equaliser from 3-0 down against Bournemouth.

Giroud equalised with minutes to go and ran to the corner to celebrate rather than the standard grabbing the ball to run back and kick off in the usually vain attempt at scoring a winner. When in the corner he threw his foot behind him to replicate the goal against Palace.

According to the Independent that really annoyed Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean forward headed to the centre spot when the goal went in and at the full time whistle he gave Giroud and his teammates the cold shoulder over their decision to celebrate.

Arsene Wenger's side dropped two points against Bournemouth on Tuesday night but it could have been a lot worse. They trailed Bournemouth by three goals but came back to secure a point after Giroud set two up and scored one himself in the second half.

There has been rumours about Sanchez' future with the former Barcelona man yet to sign a new deal. Frustration over things like this could make his mind up over signing.
