Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown has singled out one player within Mikel Arteta's side following the win against Bournemouth.

The Gunners remain at the top of the Premier League table after securing all three points at the Emirates Stadium.

Bukayo Saka opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the first half, with Belgium international Leandro Trossard doubling the lead with 20-minutes to go for the hosts.

Declan Rice made it three in the 97th minute, as Arsenal restored the four-point gap on last season's treble winners Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola's side will still hold a game in hand on Arsenal - after the conclusion of their fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday evening - as the Gunners look to go one step further than last season, after falling short in the title race.

One reason Keown believes Arsenal are capable of beating City to the Premier League trophy is the arrival of Rice last summer. The former defender highlighted the performance of the England midfielder against Bournemouth and has lauded him as a 'complete player' after another strong showing.

“It was a little bit nervy that first half," he told BBC. "Declan Rice, the superlatives for him. He just keeps getting better.

"If ever a position or a club was ready-made for him, it is the Arsenal situation he finds himself in.

“He is the complete player now for Arsenal. This was called the promised land and it has taken nearly 20 years to get the atmosphere we have here, the unity between the fans and the players and I think Declan embodies that.

"I love the celebration. He is having himself for fun. Go and enjoy it."

Rice has started 34 of his 35 appearances in the top flight of English football this season, scoring six goals and adding seven assists.
