Manchester United have set a new unwanted club record following their humiliating defeat at Crystal Palace.

Man United suffered a crushing 4-0 defeat to Palace on Monday as pressure mounts on Erik ten Hag.

Michael Olise (x2), Jean-Philippe Mateta and Tyrick Mitchell all got on score-sheet for Palace, who secured their first-ever league double over the Red Devils.

The defeat in the capital leaves Ten Hag's side languishing in eighth place, with just 54 points on the board.

The heavy loss also saw Man United set a new unwanted record.

For the first time in history, Man United have lost 13 games in a single Premier League season.

They've lost a staggering 13 of their 35 league fixtures this campaign, having lost to the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle United and Brighton.

The Old Trafford outfit face Arsenal, Newcastle and Brighton in the league before the season is over.

Across all competitions this season, Man United have lost an incredible 18 matches - their most in a season since 1977/78.

What's more, Man United have conceded a whopping 81 goals across all competitions - the highest total in the club's history since 1976/77.

They've won just one league game since April - a 4-2 victory over Sheffield United.

Speaking after the match, Ten Hag said: "It's clear, we underperformed.

"We should've kept fighting like the fans did."

The Dutch boss added: "There are reasons, everyone has seen our backline... but we have to deal with it.

"We have nine points to play for... I will keep fighting," he concluded.

Man United resume their faltering league campaign on Sunday against league leaders Arsenal.
