Former Hashtag United player Scott Pollock must be living the dream at the moment after being included in FIFA 19 as part of the official patch update.

The young midfielder, now 17, used to play for Hashtag, the football team set up by popular YouTuber Spencer Owen - or 'Spencer FC' as he is better known as on the online world.

With their popularity soaring to incredible levels thanks to 410,000 subscribers, for the start of this season the e-sports club made the big decision to join Non-League are currently sitting top of the league in the tenth tier of English football.

Their success is also matched by Pollock, who attended the Northampton Town football and education programme, bagged 10 goals in nine games for the Under 18's side and recently made the bench for the first-team.

And now, even better for 'Scotty P', he's now able to sign himself on FIFA, where he's a 51-rated midfielder who can climb to 69 on Career Mode if all goes well.

Someone has already started a Player Career Mode with him on the game as they try and take him from League Two to the very top.

Pollock already has a Man of the Match performance in front of 30,000 fans at Wembley under his belt, having shone in the Soccer Aid-style Wembley Cup game against Tekkers Town, who had Steven Gerrard, David James and Emile Heskey in their side, back in October 2017.

And he says the experience of playing Hashtag was pivotal in his route into professional football.

"I think that hashtag has helped me develop as a player. It gave me an experience of men's football which has helped when training with the first team," he told SPORTbible.

"It has also helped my confidence as the feedback has been great from the fans and the players. Travelling around the world and playing in stadiums with big capacities gave me a taste of professional football."
