Newcastle's 11-man summer transfer wishlist is absolutely ridiculous, they're ready for football domination

Newcastle United have avoided superstar names in the transfer market but that could soon change.

Newcastle United fans could be in for an exciting summer with the club reportedly eyeing up moves for Harry Kane and Neymar.

Newcastle has a reputation for being a party city, so it's safe to assume that not too many Geordies made it into work on Tuesday.

On Monday the Magpies secured a top-four finish with a 1-1 draw against Leicester, meaning they will play in the Champions League for the first time since 2003.

Eddie Howe has done a fantastic job at the helm this season, with his side playing some of the best football seen at St James' Park in decades.

What has been most impressive is that Newcastle have shot up the Premier League table without really splashing the cash on star players.

Since taking over the club in 2021, the Saudi Arabian owners have revamped the squad with a mix of astute signings and promising youngsters.

The club's £63m record signing Alexander Isak is an outlier in that regard but that could soon change.

According to Spanish outlet AS, Newcastle are planning a summer transfer window that would rival the spending of Real Madrid's 'Galacticos' era.

In the early 2000s, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez spent some serious cash in assembling a star-studded squad containing the likes of David Beckham, Ronaldo Nazario, Zinedine Zidane and Luis Figo.

Newcastle's top target is rumoured to be Harry Kane, whose future at Tottenham Hotspur hangs in the balance after the club endured another disappointing season.

Spurs again did not win any silverware and look set to miss out on European football next season.

Kane, who has never been shy to express his desire to win trophies, could be tempted by a move to the North East.

Another name on the all-star shortlist is Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar.

The 31-year-old attacker joined PSG from Barcelona in 2017 and has won four league titles and appeared in a Champions League final.

In recent seasons though his relationship with the club and its fans has deteriorated to the point where he is no longer happy in Paris.

Some slightly less flashy - although still expensive - names reportedly on Newcastle's radar are Leicester City’s James Maddison, Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, Chelsea loanee Joao Felix and Arsenal target Moussa Diaby.

Completing the reported 11-man shortlist are Eberechi Eze, Mohammed Kudus, Dominik Szoboszlai, Samuel Chukwueze and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The likes of Miguel Almiron and Bruno Guimaraes have lit up St James' this season, but they could soon have some new superstar teammates.
