Mohamed Salah 'Not Fully Fit' And Set For Tests To Figure Out Issue

Mohamed Salah is set to undergo some tests.

It has become apparent in recent days that Egyptian star and Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah is injured, according to Anfield Central

It is reported that Salah picked up a groin injury whilst playing for Liverpool against Chelsea in the FA Cup final in mid May, with him consequently playing in the Champions League Final against Real Madrid on the 28th of May and in African cup of nations qualification, securing a 1-0 win against Liverpool teammate Naby Keita’s Guinea.

The Egypt manager, Ehab Galal admitted the Pharaohs' captain “insisted on playing”, describing the Liverpool man as an idolised figure within the team who other players look to for inspiration and confidence. It is evident Salah’s continuous insistence and persistence overcome his injury woes, however is it possible Salah’s desperation to play may hinder his groin further.

These injury woes come after a grueling and intense season for the Anfield number 11, with Liverpool being in all 4 major competitions, winning both the League Cup and The FA Cup as well as coming second in the Premier League to champions Manchester City by a single point and narrowly losing the Champions League 1-0 to a Vinicius Jr strike in Paris at the Parc des Princes. A ridiculously busy schedule and an undying commitment to play have undoubtably contributed to his injury struggles.

Salah played 51 games this season, including 35 Premier League appearances and 13 Champions League apps as the Egyptian guided Liverpool to the final, as well as playing 3 games in domestic club competitions. In his 51 appearances this season Salah managed a mighty 31 goals and 16 assists, winning him honours such as Premier League top goalscorer where he totted up a remarkable 23 goals as well as the Premier League Playmaker award assisting 14 goals whilst coming fourth in the Champions League scorers list with 8.

It is evident that Salah’s determination and fight to play week in week out is causing a strain on his physical health, despite his best efforts for club and country in all competitions this may cause further injury to his groin.
