West Ham winger Maxwel Cornet hilariously getting chased by a dog outside Hammers' training complex is a must-watch

"This is the best video ever!" Declan Rice and Co watched on as Maxwel Cornet bolted towards the West Ham training complex's door.

West Ham winger Maxwel Cornet left fans in stitches after he was hilariously chased by a dog outside of the Hammers’ training complex.

Cornet signed for West Ham last summer on a five-year deal after leaving Burnley, with the Ivorian winger making 14 appearances for the Hammers this season.

West Ham defender Thilo Kehrer has now shared with his Instagram followers a hilarious clip of Cornet running for his life after a dog chased after him.

Hammers players, including Declan Rice, could be spotted (watch the footage in the video player above) surrounding a loveable dog while Cornet kept his distance.

But Cornet bolted for the West Ham training complex door after the dog made a beeline for him, with the former Burnley player eventually making it through the door.

The 26-year-old West Ham player, who can also play as a full-back, delighted both his club teammates and fans with his hilarious reaction to the dog bolting towards him.

One fan posted: “Hahahaha, that’s a violation, how you gonna do man like that?”

Someone else added: “Y’all are wilddd [sic] for [this].”

“Out for the rest of the season now, mate,” a third wrote.

Someone else said: “This is the best video ever!”

Cornet has made his long-awaited return for West Ham last month after he was sidelined with a calf injury last October.

“All the West Ham staff have did really well with me. Now it’s okay, I’m feeling very good, with confidence, and let’s move forward,” he told West Ham’s official website in March.

“I worked hard [during my recovery] in France, because I already knew it would be tough when I came back.

“We have a lot of [weekend then] midweek games and I have to be ready and that’s why I really [put the work in] over there in France.”
