Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you. Marcus Rashford is a shock omission from the Premier League team of the season so far.

The Manchester United forward is a man reborn under Erik ten Hag. There is no other way to describe it. Rashford has scored 14 goals in the league this term after netting a brace in Sunday's 3-0 win over Leicester City.

Cristiano Ronaldo's departure in November meant Rashford returned to Old Trafford following the World Cup break with the goalscoring weight on his shoulders. He's not disappointed, developing into one of world football's hottest commodities.

Rashford has scored in all but one of United's 10 domestic games since the resumption of club football, with his only blank coming against Crystal Palace last month. It's helped United to third in the table and five points off league leaders Arsenal.

Breaking it down like that, Rashford is a shoo-in to be in everyone's team of the season so far. Well, everyone except WhoScored.

Rashford is nowhere to be seen, although United teammate Bruno Fernandes is selected in midfield based on his average rating.

Fernandes has been the Red Devils' captain for most of the year, with Ten Hag opting to favour Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane in defence ahead of Harry Maguire.

Despite being top of the league, Bukayo Saka is the only Arsenal player to be included. The teams with the most representation are Manchester City and Newcastle United, with three players each.

Representing the reigning champions are Joao Cancelo, Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland. Cancelo is currently on loan at Bayern Munich so will drop out of the team as the season goes on.

For the Magpies, Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schar and Joelinton make it in. Check out the full team below.
