Man Utd target Rasmus Hojlund has changed his agent 'to force transfer' as major bid prepared

Man Utd target Rasmus Hojlund has changed his agent 'to force transfer' as major bid prepared

Hojlund has changed agents - and United are keen.

Atalanta starlet Rasmus Hojlund has changed agents because he wants a transfer amid interest from Manchester United, according to a report from Italy.

The 20-year-old has scored nine goals in his first Serie A season, with the 6ft 1in striker impressing through his physicality, aerial ability and movement.

And his performances have attracted the attention of Erik ten Hag's side. Fabrizio Romano has reported that United have asked to be kept informed on Hojlund's situation, with Sky Sports revealing that they have made contact with Atalanta over a move in recent days.

The striker was selected in Denmark's international squad for their upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers, having scored five goals in two matches during the last international break in March.

In an interview with local outlet Tipsbladet, he spoke about a potential move to United: "It is a huge club, so I must have done something right if it's rumoured they want me. We have to see what happens.

"As you see and hear, I imagine a lot could happen to quite a few strikers this summer, as many clubs are looking for a number nine. Something will definitely happen there, and then we'll have to wait and see if I am included in it.

"I am very happy to be with Atalanta and we have qualified for Europe. I have found myself in a really good place here, so now we have to wait and see."

Hojlund also confirmed he has signed with a new agency on a trial period over the summer. The Athletic report it is the SEG agency - which also represents Ten Hag.

Hojlund 'wants to join Man Utd'

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, United are preparing to launch a €60 million bid, plus bonuses, to sign Hojlund.

However, Pedulla adds that the fee will not be enough to meet Atalanta's asking price, which is said to be at least €70 million. Hojlund joined the club from Austrian side SK Sturm Graz for €17 million last summer.

The report also claims that, although there is no contact between the two clubs at this stage, 'some intermediaries are already at work' on the deal.

And Pedulla also backs up previous reports that United are waiting to complete a deal for Napoli centre-back Kim Min-jae until his release clause becomes active between July 1-15.
