Amad Diallo 'wanted by five clubs on loan' this summer as Manchester United 'make transfer admission'

Amad Diallo 'wanted by five clubs on loan' this summer as Manchester United 'make transfer admission'

The battle is on for Amad's signature.

Five clubs are interested in signing Manchester United wonderkid Amad Diallo on loan this summer, according to a new report.

The Ivorian has recently finished a successful season-long loan spell at Sunderland, where he helped a young Black Cats side to reach the Championship play-offs.

Amad scored 14 goals in 39 league appearances, including the play-off semi-final tie against Luton, and netted the opening goal during a 3-0 win over Preston North End which sealed a top six spot.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, the 20-year-old said that he would be interested in returning to Sunderland if promotion to the Premier League was achieved.

Tony Mowbray's side ultimately fell short in losing 3-2 to Luton on aggregate in the semi-finals, but Amad later responded to a report that a loan to the Black Cats could still happen with a handshake emoji.

Sunderland are likely to face competition to secure his signature on a temporary basis once again, however. The Sun's Alan Nixon claimed in May that United could opt to loan him to a club in the Dutch Eredivisie, due to it being a 'less physical league'.

Now, a new report claims that five clubs could try and bring the forward in during the upcoming transfer window.

Five clubs 'want to loan Amad'

According to Football Transfers, Sunderland are one of the clubs that want to sign Amad this summer - but teams from the Premier League are now interested.

The report claims that Burnley, West Ham and Everton, as well as an unnamed fifth club, are all tracking the Ivorian ahead of a potential swoop.

It is added, however, that United have no interest in selling Amad outright this summer, meaning any deal would be a loan arrangement.

The fifth club could be Eredivisie champions Feyenoord, with Dutch outlet 1908 reporting last month that Arne Slot's side had held 'internal discussions' over signing the 20-year-old. Amad was due to join Feyenoord on loan in 2021, reportedly with an option to buy, although the move fell through after he suffered an injury in training with United.
