Cristiano Ronaldo Compilation Titled ‘I’ll Never Regret Taking Him Back’ Has Man Utd Fans Emotional

Ronaldo has asked to leave Old Trafford for a second time.

A Cristiano Ronaldo video titled 'I'll never regret taking him back' is going viral after his decision to hand in a transfer request at Manchester United.

The 37-year-old has asked to be allowed to leave United if a 'satisfactory offer' arrives in the next few weeks.

If he gets his wish, it will bring his second spell at Old Trafford to an abrupt end following his arrival to much fanfare last summer.

After 12 years away, Ronaldo returned to English football and delivered some truly extraordinary moments.

His first game back against Newcastle United was a spectacle itself and he received a spine-tingling reception as he emerged from the tunnel.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner scored twice in a 4-1 win and he would go on to be the deciding factor in so many games.

Ronaldo single-handedly dragged United through the Champions League group stages, with late winners against Villarreal and Atalanta.

Hat-tricks against Tottenham Hotspur and Norwich City helped keep United in the top four race, but they would finish sixth with their lowest-ever Premier League points tally.

Ronaldo finished the campaign with 24 goals in all competitions and despite on and off the pitch troubles at the club, United fans are thankful they got to see a legend come back for one more spell.

One person said: "Bro was working his ass off only for these forwards to forget basic shooting. I’ll be sick too."

A second commented: "Doing this, at 37, in the PL + CL. whilst being labelled ‘the problem’ all season is f**king insane."

Someone tweeted: "Every bit of his return was worth it. I have no regrets whatsoever."

While another put: "Would do it all over again. Seeing him score hat-trick against Spurs live. And that double against Arsenal."

United insist Ronaldo is not for sale and believe he will fulfil the final year of his contract.

Chelsea are said to have registered interest, as have Bayern Munich.

Ronaldo has not reported back for pre-season training at the time of writing due to 'personal family reasons' which United have accepted.

It is currently unknown if he will be part of United's pre-season tour, which starts on Friday with a trip to Thailand.

Earlier this week, Tyrell Malacia was confirmed as United's first signing under new manager Erik ten Hag.
