A commentator has wowed fans on social media after sharing a behind-the-scenes clip of the “epic” gantry walk at Manchester United’s iconic Old Trafford stadium.

Arlo White took to TikTok and shared the footage with fans, which showed him initially climbing up some stairs before walking down a long, narrow corridor.

The sports presenter and commentator could then be seen marching down one flight of stairs before being presented with a beautiful view of United’s stadium.

The “class” footage, which can be viewed in the video player below, left fans in awe at the rare sight of seeing the Old Trafford gantry walk from a commentator’s perspective.

“TBF, as a Liverpool fan, this is class,” one TikTok user wrote.

Someone else commented: “Not a bad view, is it?”

A third posted in response to the footage: “Would love to be a commentator.”

One fan said: “Ah, so that’s how [you] get up there.”

“Love it. Proper football stadium,” a fifth added.

And a sixth said: “What a job that would be.”

United have long been tipped to move away from Old Trafford and build a new stadium, which Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville believes the club should do.

“There is a story emerging from Old Trafford that they might rebuild the entire stadium and I have just been asked what I think of it,” Neville said in 2022.

“I actually think that it would be the right move.

“I think by the time that they have spent money on Old Trafford, the existing one, then I think you would be better off building a brand-new, better, super stadium.

“I do think that Manchester United should always be at the forefront of stadiums. Have the best facilities and they have fallen behind.”
