Meet the Man Utd target called 'the next Haaland' who has impressed everyone in the international break

Could we see the young star in the Premier League soon?

Danish sensation Rasmus Hojlund is the name on everyone’s lips after catching the eye in the latest international break.

The 20-year-old Atalanta forward was given the chance to make his international debut for Denmark against Finland for the Euro 2024 qualifier.

Hojlund lit up his debut by scoring a hat trick and on Sunday, the youngster backed up his three goals with a brace against Kazakhstan.

After scoring five goals in two matches, fans are starting to take notice of the player who has already been dubbed the next Erling Haaland.

On social media, one fan said: “What a talent! Rasmus Hojlund has 5 goals in two starts for Denmark, he’s only 20 years old!”

Another tweeted: “Rasmus Hojlund is an absolute joke, to think that 8 months ago he was at Sturm Graz and now he’s smashing it at the top top level. My starboy.”

A third fan added: “Rasmus Hojlund is a specimen, an incredibly talented scorer and an absolute monster physically. Whoever will get him will have a world class striker in their hands for a long time.”

Someone else wrote: “I tried to ignore the Rasmus Hojlund hype but 5 goals in 2 starts is a recipe for greatest. Let's us dream together.”

According to Danish media outlet Ekstra Bladet, Hojlund’s rapid rise to fame has attracted the interest of Premier League giants Manchester United.

It has been reported that Atalanta are ready to be hit with offers around the region of £22-£30 million and the Serie A side could decide to cash in.

Hojlund has previously admitted that he supported United as a kid.

He said: “Now that you ask, I will not hide the fact that I am a huge Manchester United fan.

“So personally, it would be one of the biggest things for me, but of course that doesn’t mean that I would turn down other big clubs if the offers come at some point.”

Would we see Hojlund in the Premier League soon? Only time will tell.
