Erik ten Hag has named Marcus Rashford on the bench for Manchester United's Premier League clash against Chelsea.

The England forward is just one goal away from becoming the first United player to hit 30 across all competitions in a single season since Robin Van Persie ten years ago.

Yet, Rashford missed the Old Trafford club's recent win over Wolverhampton Wanderers with a leg injury he suffered against West Ham back on May 7.

The 25-year-old then looked set to return to United's starting line-up against Bournemouth last weekend, only to then suffer a bout of illness.

However, United won both those games without the attacker, who returned to full training at Carrington on Tuesday.

Ten Hag's men are now in the enviable position where they need just a point from the final two games of the season to claim a Champions League spot.

However, Rashford will not feature from the start.

Elsewhere, United are still without the likes of Lisandro Martinez and Marcel Sabitzer, while Phil Jones, Tom Heaton and Donny van de Beek are also unavailable.

Man Utd vs Chelsea team news

United are unchanged from the side that started their 1-0 win at Bournemouth last Saturday.

Meanwhile, Chelsea make three changes to the side that lost to Manchester City. Thiago Silva, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Raheem Sterling all drop out as Carney Chukwuemeka, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Noni Madueke start.

Man Utd starting XI: De Gea, Lindelof, Varane, Shaw, Wan-Bissaka, Casemiro, Eriksen, Fernandes, Sancho, Antony, Martial.

Subs: Butland, Maguire, Rashford, Malacia, Fred, Dalot, Weghorst, McTominay, Garnacho.

Chelsea starting XI: Kepa, Chalobah, W.Fofana, Hall, Azpilicueta, Gallagher, Enzo, Chukwuemeka, Madueke, Mudryk, Havertz.

Subs: Mendy, Silva, Pulisic, Felix, Loftus-Cheek, Ziyech, Koulibaly, D.Fofana, Gilchrist.
