Missing XI QUIZ: Can you name the Man Utd team that ended Arsenal's Invincibles run?

The infamous 'Pizzagate' game. But can you remember who started for Manchester United that day?

To some, it was known as the Battle of the Buffet. To others, simply Pizzagate.

When champions Arsenal traveled to Old Trafford to face Manchester United in October 2004, it was not only sparks which flew, but some mozzarella to boot.

An ill-tempered affair, United’s 2-0 victory over the Gunners ended the North London side’s 49-game unbeaten streak, and was very much in-keeping of the two clubs’ rivalry in that era. Having exchanged Premier League titles - the two had won the previous nine between them - and with Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger considered two of Europe’s best managers, this was the game in English football for nearly a decade.

But how much do you remember of those two teams? And, specifically, this infamous game?

Substitute Cesc Fabregas was the carb-chucking culprit on the day, as admitted by the Spaniard himself in October 2017, but that won’t help you in our special SPORTbible quiz, as we want you to tell us the starting XI for United.

So dredge up your memory bank, think back to one of the craziest games (hint: and dives) in Premier League history, and see how you get on.

We’re looking for surnames only, but do make sure you spell them correctly. And if you’re stuck and need a helping hand, just press the HINT button, and a letter of the player’s surname will be revealed.
