Four years after making his international bow, Harvey Barnes could make his second appearance for England on Friday, when the Three Lions come up against Marcelo Bielsa's Uruguay.

The 28-year-old winger, who won his only England cap in a friendly against Wales in October 2020, has been one of Newcastle's best performers this season, scoring 14 goals in all competitions.

He was initially left out of Thomas Tuchel's 35-man squad, but earlier this week, he was drafted in to replace the injured Eberechi Eze, who missed Arsenal's Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester City with a calf injury.

After recently turning down the chance to switch international allegiance to Scotland, the birthplace of his maternal grandparents, Barnes will be hoping to impress ahead of this summer's World Cup.
