"Klopp Is In Love" - Liverpool Interested In Major Man United Transfer Target

"Klopp Is In Love" - Liverpool Interested In Major Man United Transfer Target

Liverpool are interested in RB Salzburg's Benjamin Sesko, but face competition from Man United and Chelsea

RB Salzburg forward Benjamin Sesko has drawn the attention of many admirers this summer, including Premier League side Liverpool, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.

Sesko started against Klopp's side when the two teams met in a pre-season friendly last week, scoring the only goal on the night, and the Germany manager was said to be 'in love' with his performance.

The Slovenian is yet another promising young striker scoring goals for fun in Austria, netting 35 in 85 games across the top two divisions.

Alongside Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona and PSG are also keen on the youngster.

Salzburg reportedly want to bring in roughly £45 million if they do decide to let him go.

This is a significant sum for a largely unproven forward, but clearly enough clubs think there is enough talent in Sesko to be tempted into a bid.

And Liverpool would be wise to pursue the Slovenian wonderkid this summer. They are the club who could probably develop him in a way which would suit him best at this point in his career.

There’d be no way that he’d arrive as a guaranteed starter on Merseyside, but he could learn from the likes of Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino, and eventually claim the spot when he is ready.

At the moment though, the Reds’ interest seems to be only tentative.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United, who think the player is 'really talented', and Chelsea look more likely to make an offer for the Slovenian at this moment in time.
