Following the announcement of Joe Gomez's new deal, 2 more Liverpool stars are set to put pen to paper on new contracts

Goal are reporting that Naby Keita and Diogo Jota are also set to extend their stay at Anfield this summer.

Keita has just one year left on his deal at Liverpool.

He has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Merseyside this summer, with Inter Milan and PSG said to be interested.

Yet despite having a plethora of options to fulfil his right-sided-central-midfield role, Jürgen Klopp wants to keep hold of the Guinean international.

Don’t rule out a departure for Keita soon, however, as Jude Bellingham will potentially be joining the Reds next summer. Liverpool may be offering the midfielder a new deal now, to ensure he does not depart the club on a free.

Arguably the most exciting news is the potential renewal of Diogo Jota’s contract.

The Portugal international has been a hit at Anfield since joining from Wolves in 2020, proving to be excellent cover for the likes of Mo Salah and Sadio Mané.

He has scored 24 goals in 54 games for Klopp's side.

Jota seems unfazed by the arrival of Darwin Nuñez and the strong form of January recruit Luis Diaz, and is happy to extend his stay in England’s north-west.

These renewals, along with Joe Gomez's annaouncement, are indicative of Liverpool’s transfer strategy for the remainder of the window.

Their focus is currently placed upon keeping hold of what they’ve got.

However, with an ageing squad, next summer will likely be a busy one for the Reds.
