Liverpool fans have spotted a worrying moment involving Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez in Saturday's damaging defeat to Leeds United.

Jurgen Klopp's side were beaten 2-1 at Anfield after Leeds winger Crysencio Summerville scored a dramatic winner for the visitors in the 89th minute.

Liverpool have now failed to win eight of their 12 Premier League games this season, with Saturday's defeat already their fourth of the campaign.

It also ended Virgil van Dijk's remarkable record of having never lost a Premier League match at Anfield since joining Liverpool in 2018.

Liverpool conceded early on in the game after Rodrigo capitalised on a huge error from England international Joe Gomez.

The Reds swiftly responded through Salah but continue to look vulnerable on the counter-attack and were made to pay by Summerville in the closing stages.

Liverpool's midfielders have been criticised in the wake of the defeat after another disappointing performance.

Concerns have now been raised over their fitness and commitment after fans spotted a worrying moment early on in the match in which Leeds were able to counter-attack quickly from a Liverpool set-piece.

In the clip, which you can watch below, Leeds break forward from the edge of their box and are able to make it all the way to Liverpool's area before a challenge is made.

Worryingly for Klopp's side, several players including Fabinho can be seen jogging back during the counter-attack.

Nunez and Salah, on the other hand, sprint back at full speed, with the Uruguayan striker forced to make a sliding challenge at the edge of his own area.

Liverpool fans have questioned why it was left to two of the teams most attacking players to defend a counter-attack so early on in the game.

"If only everyone else had this desire to win…," posted one fan on Twitter.

Another added: "Certain midfielders could learn from them."

While a third wrote: "Look at Fabinho. He looks so uninterested."

Liverpool are now ninth in the Premier League, eight points off the top four.

They next face Napoli at home in the Champions League on Wednesday night before returning to Premier League action away at Tottenham on Sunday.
