Fernando Torres' Body Transformation Is Insane As Liverpool Legend Coaches Atletico Madrid U19s Clash

Liverpool legend Fernando Torres left fans in awe at his remarkable body transformation after guiding Atletico Madrid Under-19s to a win on Tuesday.

The former Reds and Chelsea striker called it time on his prolific playing career in 2019 after a brief stint with J1 League side Sagan Tosu.

Torres, who burst onto the scene at Atletico, entered coaching after his retirement and was appointed Juvenil A (U19s) head coach in July.

The 37-year-old Spaniard was on the touchline as Aitor Gismera and Salim El Jebari scored for Atletico U19s in a 2-0 win against Liverpool U19s in the UEFA Youth League.

Torres’ presence at the touchline stunned fans on social media, with the Liverpool hero bulking up big time since his Anfield days.

“El Nino doesn't skip arm and chest days,” one Twitter user posted.

Someone else tweeted: “He needs to venture into acting/wrestling.”

While another fan wrote: “It would [have] been interesting to see Torres in this physique go up against Premier League defenders who use to kick lumps out of him!”

And a fourth added: “His body is well toned. He still has that mojo that he used to have.”

Torres left Atletico in 2007 and signed for Liverpool in a deal worth around £20m, with the Spaniard becoming a fan favourite during his time at Anfield.

The former Spain international made 142 appearances for Liverpool and scored an impressive 81 times.

Torres made his Liverpool exit in 2011 and completed a move to Chelsea in a reported £50m deal, but El Nino failed to replicate his Reds form at Stamford Bridge.

The 2010 World Cup winner still holds a strong affinity with Liverpool and received a hero’s reception from the Anfield faithful during a Jamie Carragher charity match in 2015.

“Thank you, Liverpool supporters, for everything you gave me in my career, you are just different class. It was a privilege to play in front of you again,” he wrote on Instagram after the match.

“Today I feel in peace with myself, hearing you singing my name is something I will never forget. From the bottom of my hart [sic] [and] thank you very much, Liverpool!!! #YNWA”
