Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has been roasted in brutal compilation from Fulham draw

Jordan Henderson has been told it is "time for the Championship" after Liverpool's 2-2 draw with Fulham.

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has been destroyed in a brutal fail compilation from his side's 2-2 draw with Fulham on Saturday lunchtime.

The Carabao and FA Cup winners were behind twice in a game where Aleksandar Mitrovic bagged a brace and Darwin Nunez got off the mark on his Premier League debut.

Mo Salah bagged the equaliser ten minutes from time to ensure Liverpool avoided defeat.

The Reds were not at the races in their opening fixture and manager Jurgen Klopp, as well as blaming the "dry" pitch at Craven Cottage, was critical of his team's attitude.

And skipper Henderson ended up getting a whole lot of flak on social media. A video showing the England international's worst bits from the game, titled, "Jordan Henderson vs Fulham (A), Time for the championship", has garnered 114,000 views and plenty of reaction in quote-tweets.

The general consensus seems to be that Henderson was incredibly wasteful in possession and did not offer much in midfield for Liverpool, who look light in that area after seeing Thiago Alcantara go off with an injury.

The former Sunderland man also got absolutely bodied by Mitrovic, who had him eating grass before he sent Virgil van Dijk for a hot dog in the second half.

He did nearly bag a stunning winner when he bent one against the crossbar from distance but plenty of Liverpool supporters slammed Henderson's display and think he shouldn't be starting:

Speaking after the game, Henderson said he was "disappointed" with both the outcome and the performance from his side.

“Yes, I think so," he told the official Liverpool website.

"Disappointing, but probably the best thing is we didn’t lose the game.

“We had a couple of chances at the end to win, but overall I think we can play a lot better than we were today. So yeah, overall, disappointed with the result and the performance.”
