Mark Goldbridge's reaction to seventh goal in Man United's Liverpool hammering goes viral

Mark Goldbridge nearly burst into tears after Man United were battered 7-0 by Liverpool at Anfield.

Mark Goldbridge looked like he was about to burst into tears after Manchester United conceded a SEVENTH goal against Liverpool at Anfield.

United suffered their heaviest defeat for 92 years at the hands of their bitter rivals, shipping no less than SIX goals in a second half capitulation.

Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez and Mo Salah all bagged braces but it was Roberto Firmino, confirmed to be leaving the club at the end of the season, who delivered the final blow in the 88th minute.

He finished smartly past David de Gea and provided further humiliation to United, who shipped nine goals against Liverpool last term.

Plenty of United fans left early, though Raphael Varane was quick to ensure that his teammates applauded those who had stayed in the away section.

It was too much for YouTuber and streamer Goldbridge, who was doing his usual watchalong through the United Stand fan channel.

As soon as Firmino slotted home, Goldbridge absolutely lost it and a major meltdown ensued - and included some objects getting punched.

He fumed: "OH F***ING HELL! I'm gone. I'm finished. NO! NO! NO! Oh for God sake! NO! NO! NO! SEVEN F***ING NIL? WHAT THE F*** MAN? WHAT THE F***ING HELL IS GOING ON?! SEVEN NIL? SEVEN BLOODY NIL? I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!"

Sky Sports had both Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher on co-commentary duty in the gantry alongside Martin Tyler and their cameras captured the contrasting reactions during the course of the game.

Neville was of course glum throughout, with Carragher ecstatic and gloating with a selfie featuring his punditry pal looking miserable as can be.

The former United captain, who labelled current skipper Bruno Fernandes "embarrassing" for his antics, was rinsed by Carragher and Souness for describing the humiliation as a "freak result" in the studio afterwards.
