Mark Goldbridge's live reaction to finding out that Ruben Amorim has been sacked by Manchester United has gone viral.

United sent the football world into shock on Monday morning when they announced that Amorim would leave Old Trafford after 14 months in charge.

The decision comes due to a 'breakdown in relations behind the scenes', according to The Athletic, with Amorim's post-match press conference at Elland Road proving to be the final straw.

Darren Fletcher has been confirmed to take over for at least the club's midweek clash with Burnley, while Enzo Maresca and Oliver Glasner are highly tipped to take over permanently.

As the shock news broke, Goldbridge, who is a popular United YouTuber and personality, was live streaming to his fans on The United Stand capturing his unfiltered reaction to the sacking.

"He's just been sacked! What?! Sorry. Oh, my God. Oh, my God," Goldbridge said in shock.

"They've done a 10 o'clock sacking. Manchester United sack Ruben Amorim as head coach. Oh, my God. Oh, my God."

Goldbridge was also clearly not a fan of the club's choice to appoint former player Fletcher as interim boss for the immediate future.

He added: "Darren Fletcher. Oh, my God! Oh, my God! Oh, my f***ing God! Oh, my God.

"I can't believe they've gone and given it to Darren Fletcher.

"Oh, I said it! I bloody said it! I told you! I told you they'd do that! I feel sick! I actually feel sick. I actually feel sick. For fuck's sake, this football club. Darren f***ing Fletcher. I can't speak."

Man Utd statement on Ruben Amorim

United's statement, in full, reads: "Ruben Amorim has departed his role as Head Coach of Manchester United.

"Ruben was appointed in November 2024 and led the team to a UEFA Europa League Final in Bilbao in May.

"With Manchester United sitting sixth in the Premier League, the club's leadership has reluctantly made the decision that it is the right time to make a change. This will give the team the best opportunity of the highest possible Premier League finish.

"The club would like to thank Ruben for his contribution to the club and wishes him well for the future.

"Darren Fletcher will take charge of the team against Burnley on Wednesday."
