Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe perfect insane kick-off routine, score within 10 seconds for PSG

Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe combined to devastating effect to put PSG 1-0 up straight from kick-off.

Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe all combined in an insane kick-off routine for a lightning quick start for Paris Saint-Germain against Lille.

PSG were out of the blocks in rapid fashion in the Ligue One clash and took the lead through Mbappe less than 10 seconds into the contest.

Neymar took the kick-off and played the ball backwards. He then received a pass from Marco Verratti and laid it off to Messi first-time.

Without even taking a touch, the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner then produced a typically outrageous pass to cut Lille's backline wide open and find the run from Mbappe, who raced in behind and lobbed the ball over Leonardo's head.

It was the perfect start for the Ligue One champions courtesy of a routine that looked straight off the training ground. Practice made perfect as PSG's superstars conjured up sorcery that resembled a FIFA 22 kick-off glitch.

Mbappe quickly moved on from his antics against Montpellier last week - where he walked away from an attack - and looked absolutely delighted after opening the scoring.

He and Messi had linked up gloriously in training this week. In a small-sided game, Messi played Mbappe in behind and fans came to the conclusion that the Argentine ace had eyes in the back of his head.

The Barcelona legend didn't even look up once but just knew exactly where his teammate would be. It was the case again on Saturday night, where more sheer wizardry was displayed for the fastest goal in Ligue One history.

After playing provider, Messi turned goalscorer when he got on the end of Nuno Mendes' cut-back and supplied a right-footed finish to extend PSG's lead.

Messi has now scored three goals in the league this term and is already halfway towards reaching his tally in his debut campaign in France.

Mbappe ended up bagging a hat-trick, with Neymar notching twice and Achraf Hakimi also on the scoresheet as PSG ran riot and blitzed Lille 7-1.
