Lionel Messi's pass for Kylian Mbappe needs explaining, with fans thinking the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner has eyes in the back of his head.

PSG travel to Lille this weekend and are hoping to make it three wins out three win in this season's Ligue One campaign after high-scoring victories over Clermont Foot and Montpellier.

And Messi, who was controversially left off France Football's Ballon d'Or shortlist after a quiet first season in the French capital, looked particularly sharp in a recent training session.

The Argentina captain linked up with Mbappe and produced absolutely wizardry in a small-sided game.

Mbappe found Messi in a tight space and was screaming "LEO!" as he called for the return pass. It was a tricky one, however, with defenders, including Sergio Ramos, swarming him.

But after the touch to get it out of his feet, the Barcelona legend somehow fed the ball back to Mbappe without even looking up once. He just knew where he was.

Messi has been known to scan before receiving the ball to ensure he has options available but this genius pass was played with complete telepathy.

Mbappe took one touch and then slotted past Gianluigi Donnarumma. And fans were left in awe by the vision displayed by Messi.

Just Messi things. He's done this type of no-look pass time and time again in the biggest games under immense pressure with absolute tease.

He had an interesting moment last Saturday when he gave Mbappe a little dirty look after the Frenchman bumped into him in the 5-2 win over Montpellier.

Mbappe was asking Neymar to take a penalty in an attempt to redeem himself for an earlier miss from 12 yards.

Neymar refused to let his teammate have a second bite of the cherry and scored himself, with there being strong reports that

Mbappe, who signed a new contract which included a whopping 130 million signing on fee, hit headlines for turning his back on the play in petulant fashion after not receiving a pass from Vitinha while on the counter.
